WaterSpace app for iPhone and iPad

The Earth’s seas and shoreside environments are getting demonstrably and increasingly polluted and there are few means with which the average person can help combat this - so we have developed one.

Waterspace is an environmental map app that lets you crowdsource the monitoring of shoreside spaces through letting you pin shore photos on a map and share them with friends and others across social media. To use the app:

Look at the Waterspace map and look for the positive or negative state of any nearby shoreside areas that have been photographed and shared recently.
Take walks on the shoreside. Share your own pictures of everything from discarded fishnets, rusty shipwrecks and plastic garbage to your most beautiful local beach.
Tag photos as belonging to healthy environments or as polluted places in need of attention and clean-up.
Upvote and share others’ photos to increase their visibility and provide them the attention they deserve.
Users are rewarded with points for uploading, sharing and upvoting photos. To aid with user engagement, point-based rewards and achievements will be forthcoming as the app grows and develops.
